John & Merry De’Simone

John was diagnosed with Alzheimer recently, and Mary, his wife, suffers from diabetes and vascular problems. They have been married for over forty years and as many elderly couples they have to face many difficulties. Both are retired, living on their pension and they also get some income from renting small apartments attached to their house in a quiet neiberhood of Queens, New York called Astoria.
John and Mary, through this documentary, allow us to be close to their daily lives, their disagreements emerge as well as their concerns and the bond that holds them together.
